Morris finds a new role

Former education secretary Estelle Morris is to chair the Children's Workforce Development Council for England.

The CWDC represents workers in early years, educational welfare, learning mentors, Connexions, foster care and social care.

Ms Morris, a former teacher, was the MP for Birmingham Yardley for 13 years. She will take up her new post at the end of this month.
