Eat well for good health

TES content partner GrainChain has shared more than 120 food technology resources to inspire pupils to eat a healthy, balanced diet and to cook food from scratch.

What is it?

The resources are divided by age and topic, with lesson plans that incorporate GrainChain's resources. They include:

- Eat well IWB. An interactive game in which pupils must plan a balanced meal.

- Testing for food groups. An activity sheet guiding pupils through three scientific experiments to test how much fat, protein and starch common foods contain.

- Energy ups and downs. Another interactive whiteboard activity, this time showing pupils how their energy levels rise and fall throughout the day. Can they think of the best foods to eat for each snack and meal to keep energy levels high?

- Baking bingo. Excite pupils about making their own bread with this bingo game testing their knowledge of baking ingredients.
