Muslim message

A Muslim primary teacher is to deliver Channel 4's alternative Christmas message this year wearing a full veil. Khadija Ravat, who is in her thirties and teaches part-time at a Leicester school, will speak at 3pm on Christmas day.

Channel 4 said it was fitting that a Muslim woman should deliver the message when issues of religious and racial identity had dominated the news.
