National Railway Museum's interactive learning centre

The new interactive learning centre at the National Railway museum in York offers ample opportunities to support the national curriculum across a range of subjects, from maths to music. Star exhibits include the Mallard, the world's fastes steam locomotive, to a lock of Robert Stephenson's hair. The collection includes 103 locomotives and tells the story of the railway from The Rocket to Eurostar. Admission: free for under-18s. Tel: 01904 686 230.
