Netherbow closing

The Netherbow Theatre is to close for two years at the end of the Edinburgh Festival to undergo redevelopment as the Scottish Storytelling Centre. The project will cost pound;3.4 (pound;3.24?) million.

Netherbow director Donald Smith says that while there will be no drama until the centre reopens with a new theatre, the work of the National Storytelling Network will continue around the country and venues will include the Scottish Book Trust's new base next door.
