New academy seeks chief

16th January 2004 at 00:00
The Vardy Foundation has today launched a recruitment campaign for a principal for its new academy at Thorne, near Doncaster, in South Yorkshire.

As The TES went to press, the foundation said it expected the academy - which it will name The Trinity - to be formally approved this week by Charles Clarke, the Education Secretary. The new principal would take up his post in September 2004 and the academy would open in September 2005.
