New batch of specialist schools

SCHOOLS minister Estelle Morris has announced 34 new specialist arts and sport schools, to bring the total number to 569. The Government target is 1,000 specialist schools by 004.

One of the new batch, Wildern school, in Southampton, will use some of the extra funding to bring in professional dancers to train boys in ballet and tap.
