New exams

The Government is considering new exams aimed at stretching able sixth-formers, Gillian Shephard, the Education Secretary, said in an interview. She told ISIS magazine that she was not convinced of the need for a starred grade at A-level and the Government would consider the proposal from the Headmasters' Conference for S-levels.
