New FE chief takes up post

Tom Kelly, newly appointed chief officer of the Association of Scottish Colleges, takes up his appointment on April 22. Mr Kelly, assistant secretary for higher education at the Scottish Office, succeeds John Sellars, who retires after overseeing the creation of the association and its move to Stirling.

Iain Ovens, aged 48, principal of Angus College, is to move to the larger Dundee College to replace Craig Brown, who is retiring.
