7th July 2000 at 01:00
A PRIVATE school headteacher who told her pupils they looked scruffy on speech day has ensured they meet her high standards in future by buying them all a new uniform.

Pupils already attending the pound;12,58-a-year Framlingham College in Suffolk will get the new uniform free, but parents of new pupils will have to pay for theirs. The uniforms cost the school pound;30,000, said headteacher Gwen Randall.
