23rd June 2006 at 01:00
The OCR exam board has launched a new IT qualification which is being seen as a successor to the highly popular general national vocational qualification in the subject.

The OCR Nationals in IT are being offered at four levels, equivalent to one, two, three or four GCSEs. It will rival Edexcel's Diploma in Digital Applications. The last GNVQs will be taken next year.
