A guide to the Government's new phonics scheme written by Nicky Byrne, a teacher from Devon, has been turned into a book and CD. Ms Byrne wrote the crib sheet to Letters and Sounds last term and posted it on The TES free online resource bank. It was downloaded by more than 1,200 teachers. Publishers LCP have turned her work into a book capable of being photocopied and CD at pound;39.95. The plans will be available from November 5.
