No welcome in the valleys

YOUR article "Training salary grabs graduates" (TES, June 9) gives the wrong impression - pound;6,000 will indeed be paid to postgraduate teacher-trainees - but not in the primary sector in Wales! This is unjust and short-sighted.

Trying to jutify it by saying that there is no immediate recruitment problem in this sector is not only mealy-mouthed but the fastest way of creating such a problem for the coming years.
