NOMINATIONS are invited from schools for the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Award which is made each term to 12 to 18-year-olds who have made an outstanding contribution to their school or community, or have shown remarkable qualities in overcoming adverse circumstances.

The organisers believe the award enables schools to celebrate and encourage other young people to take part in similar activities and helps to give a practical meaning and profile to citizenship.

Award-holders receive a certificate, as does the school. Termly newsletters keep award-holders in touch.

The deadline for spring and summer terms are March 14 and June 20. For details email awards-info@educationextra.org.uk, or see
