Ripon Cathedral in North Yorkshire has been inviting local pupils to visit its art installation to mark Holocaust Memorial Day on Wednesday.

The work, "6 million +, Every Person Counts", by artist Antonia Stowe, uses 6 million buttons to represent the known victims.

The '+' refers to Jews and others who died but were not counted and the millions of people who have been killed in other genocides since.

Pupils from Ripon Cathedral CE Primary were among those who added their own buttons. WS.
