The Museum of Childhood in Bethnal Green, east London, has a wealth of resources for schools. Catering mainly for Key Stages 1 and 2, it hosts a range of exhibitions, including an exploration of games through history and a moving toys exhibition. It also has a display to celebrate 40 years of the Sindy doll, giving pupils a chance to see how the British answer to Barbie has developed through the years. For details telephone 020 8980 2415;
