The Nuffield Foundation;In brief;Correction

9th April 1999 at 01:00
THE NUFFIELD Foundation not the Department for Education and Employment is the main sponsor of research cited in The TES on March 26, in the story "Targets skewed by transient children".

The article mentioned the work of Dr Janet Dobson, who is investigating the effect of high pupil mobility on school performance. The Nuffield Foundation originally agreed to fund the work, with the DFEE making a later contribution to hasten its completion.
