NUT votes for strike action

Teachers in England and Wales voted last week to strike over the "erosion" of their pay and working conditions. The NUT said 82.5 per cent of the members who voted were in favour of walkouts. The turnout was 27 per cent. The result raises the threat of disruption to schools later this term.
