Ofsted says sorry for report errors

In The TES of June 18 in an article headlined "Ofsted says sorry for report errors", we stated in the first sentence that "Inspectors have had to apologise...after writing a report using data from another school". As the article later makes clear, the "report" which contained information relating to another school was the pre-inspection commentary on Parkside middle school, Bromsgrove, not the final inspection report. However, the reference to "a report" in the headline and opening sentence may have given a misleading impression for which we apologise.
