Old curtains: height of 'trashion'

Millie Bawden, a Year 11 art student at Avon Valley College near Salisbury, won the prize for best design in a 'trashion' show of outfits made from salvaged or recycled items. Millie's dress used old silk ties, bits of bamboo fence and a discarded pair of curtains. She won the chance to spend a week at the London College of Fashion, learning about careers in the industry.
