(Photograph) - Aminata Palmer, from Sierra Leone, inspects some of the 3.5 million 'buddies' made by pupils from 110 countries, including Scotland, for the Global Campaign for Education. On display at the Unicef-backed C8 Children's Forum in Dunblane, they represent the 100 million children in the world who have no formal education. The C8 event brought children from developing countries together with those from the G8 countries to create their own manifesto. They urged the G8 leaders to ensure every child has access to free, high-quality education. Photograph by Ashley Coombes.
