Not many would argue with the notion that you can't raise standards unless you know what level children are at. One of the biggest issues is "How?" So anyone interested in this issue will be peeking at the new online guide to assessment created by the National Foundation for Education Research (NFER). It features national and international research, along with advice and a database of more than relevant 50 websites.
