The Polka Theatre, Wimbledon, presents a dramatisation of Jill Murphy's award winning book The Last Noo-Noo, adapted and directed by Vicky Ireland. Aimed at five to seven-year-olds, it is a humorous and touching play about self-esteem and growing up. It runs until June 7. Bookings: 0181 543 4888. Thanks to support from Marks Spencer, the Polka has recently installed power assisted doors, allowing easier access to wheelchair users. The funding also enables the theatre to offer signed performances and is equipped with induction loops for hearing aid users.

This week and next, St Bede's Prep School, Eastbourne, is running an arts festival that celebrates the work of the school as well as bringing in a wide range of artists from outside. For more information, contact Mrs Wilkins, head of music, on 01323 734222.

Oxford Stage Company ends its national tour of Charlotte Keatley's award-winning My Mother Said I Never Should at the Young Vic from May 8 to 31. Bookings: 0171 928 6363.

On May 14, Keatley will be holding a "mistress class" between 2pm and 4pm for teachers and young writers. This will provide a "three-dimensional look" at Keatley's process and methods as a writer and the way these relate to practical production. On May 17, there will be a more practical workshop for drama teachers at the National Theatre (0171 928 2252)
