We are grateful to the newsletter of the Scottish Association for Language Teaching for passing on the rather remarkable experience of an exam marker:

"I was not aware of a change in policy towards corporal punishment in Scottish schools until doing some marking recently. Many schools have salles de musculation, which sounds punishment enough, but one seems to have salles demasculation!"

Anyone can make a mistake.
