Our History, My Heritage

14th September 2001 at 01:00
Children who explore their family's past can contribute to their school's future. With TV's History Channel, English Heritage is organising a prize project called Our History, My Heritage. Young people are encouraged to research the background to their own lives by talking to older relatives and neighbours and by examining maps, photographs and other documents. The best idea within each key stage will be made into a short film to be broadcast within the programme A Small Piece of History, and prizes, including a digital camcorder, will be awarded to the winner voted for by viewers.
