Out on a roll

Before the spectre of the Glasgow ghostie pupils fades away completely, we recall another sums problem it brought in its trail.

A primary admin assistant received a call from education HQ requesting, forthwith, a copy of the school'sfree dinner returns and roll returns for that week.

"There's no problem with the free dinner returns but we don't get rolls delivered here," came the reply.

One person at least was not taking the matter too seriously.
