Outgoing head's parting gesture

A RETIRING headteacher in Wales is giving all his staff laptop computers to thank them for their dedication. Bruce Hawkins, who has been head at Dyffryn Comprehensive School, in Neath Port Talbot ince 1984, used pound;40,000 windfall cash from this year's Budget to buy his 48 staff the computers.Mr Hawkins said his gesture was designed to improve the use of technology at the school.
