At the Oxford Story exhibition, created by Heritage Projects and Oxford University, visitors climb aboard moving medieval desks to witness 800 years of academic achievements and famous students from Roger Bacon to Rowan Atkinson. Subjects include the origins of the University, the turbulent Tudor and Stuart years, Charles I, and Oxford today. A free teachers' pack is available with topic sheets on writing and printing, Tudors and Stuarts, and Medieval domestic life. Free familiarisation visits can be arranged.
