Own your own radio station

7th September 2001 at 01:00
Ever wanted to run your own radio station? Shoutcast can send music or speech via the internet streaming around the world. It is like owning your own radio station with one big advantage - you can be heard anywhere in the world. Innovative stuff for the technically inclined, the sound is usually transmitted in the mp3 format. It has a low rate of transmission to guarantee smooth streaming without disturbances. You can download the program and experiment with it. Think of the advantages and uses that a school could put it to.
