Sun, sand and sea are not generally considered to be perks of a career in teaching. But new teachers are being sought to spend four weeks of their summer teaching English in a small town in northern Thailand. Starfish Ventures places trained teachers in the market town of Surin, renowned for its annual elephant festival, where they plan and teach their own lessons at four three-day English camps. Volunteer teachers are also encouraged to take advantage of nearby temple sites and island beaches.
