Paedophile warning

Issuing email addresses to primary-age children raises the possibility that they could be targeted by paedophiles through the Internet. West Lothian email is provided by SIMS (the Sun Internet Mail System). Like everything else on the network, it is filtered through a software program called I-GEAR, which Richard Pietrasik says is "as failsafe as you can make it". A policy on putting photographs of children on school websites is under discussion.
