Williamwood High's celebration of 25 years as a six-year comprehensive was a night of musical excellence in no less a venue than Glasgow's Royal Concert Hall.

One of the highlights was the staff choir, a member of which was Educational Institute of Scotland stalwart Allan Munro, teachers' rep on East Renfrewshire's education committee. And its song? "Oh Happy Day".

McCrone must be going down better in East Renfrewshire than might have first been thought.
