Peacock's fireside chat

In the ultimate bid to be inclusive, the Education Minister will take part in an online chat session with parents next Tuesday. Peter Peacock said he wanted to "signal a new era for parental involvement".

The Scottish Executive will be mounting a major drive to boost parent involvement in children's education, not just school management. Regular homework can be the equivalent of roughly an extra year's schooling.
