Christine Lee-Jones, principal of Eccles College, Greater Manchester, and a member of the Further Education Funding Council quality assessment committee, will become head of Manchester High School for Girls on September 1. She succeeds Elizabeth Diggory, who has been appointed head of St Paul's School, Hammersmith, London.
