Playground porn scandal

15th July 2005 at 01:00
An 11-year-old pupil at a west Wales Catholic secondary has been suspended after being caught selling pornographic DVDs in the playground. Police were called to St John Lloyd comprehensive, in Llanelli, after complaints were received from some parents. Paul White, headteacher, is in talks with school governors, after a number of parents called for the culprit to be expelled. A police spokeswoman confirmed that officers had visited the school after receiving reports from parents, but were satisfied the incident did not stem from any external influence. A parent of a 14-year-old said: "We worry about so much these days, but to think our kids are now being offered graphic porn is frightening."
