PERHAPS Education Secretary David Blunkett should undergo a rapid course in his own numeracy strategy?

Last year in Lincolnshire we received an extra pound;9 million for education from Mr Blunkett. The result - draconian cuts and 150 teacher redundancies.

This year he sent us an extra pound;11m. The result - draconian cuts and 200 teacher redundancies.

Please don't let him send us pound;13m next year, as according to the advanced mathematical formula used by the Secretary of State for Education and Employment, it will mean further draconian cuts and 250 teacher redundancies.
