WHILE commiserating with Tony Bullock on his take-home pay reduction of pound;13.27 per month (TES, May 9), here in the FE sector we can do better! Teachers' Pay Initiative 1 is finished for the year. National insurance has kicked in. The college has announced that the nationally agreed 3.5 per cent may not be awarded due to financial constraints - and if it is, it will be set against TPI. Overall result - my take-home pay for April was down a cracking pound;107.42p! What happened to The TES campaign for fair pay for FE?
