Porn story: shocking and outstanding

12th October 2012 at 01:00

Rarely have I been so overwhelmed by the magnitude of my task as a headteacher and a parent as I have been this morning reading Chloe Combi's challenging and disturbing article ("Porn: the shocking truth", 5 October). She should be given every forum possible to raise awareness of this issue that has crept up on us in recent years. She speaks a truth that needs to be spoken. How could we allow the sexualisation of children to get this far? Thank you, Chloe, for highlighting not only what is going on, but suggesting ways in which we might take appropriate and realistic action on behalf of our children.

Alex McGrath, headteacher, Leighton Park School, Reading.
