Postcode mix-up

The General Teaching Council for Wales has apologised for a "computer glitch" that meant 12 teachers from the same postcode area in north Wales were sent the wrong registration details. The body updates personal details annually, including national insurance numbers. One teacher member, who did not want to be named, said she had been horrified to open the details of another teacher she knew in the area. A GTCW spokesperson confirmed the electronic mix-up had only affected a few people.
