* The pound;100,000-a-year post of general secretary for the National Association of Head Teachers' is being advertised this weekend in preparation for the retirement of David Hart in August.

The NASUWT executive, meanwhile, was today interviewing candidates to succeed the late Eamonn O'Kane as general secretary.
