If your key stage 3 books are ragged and you want to upgrade, you could do no better than to move over to this new QCA-based Scientifica suite of resources.

It includes an excellent differentiated class book aligned to the national strategy, teacher's notes, resource pack, assessment pack, special needs support pack, workbook and a reader. You also get an ICT Power Pack and Webselect science-specific search engine.

Using the Power Pack and an interactive whiteboard, you can display spreads from the class book, full of links to relevant and tailor-made digital resources - video clips, interactive animations, diagrams with toolbox facilities, photos and tables. You can add your own links, too.

This is the first truly integrated paperelectronic resource yet invented and, used in conjunction with an interactive whiteboard, provides the most powerful classroom combo for teacher and learner of science.

The assessments anticipate the future, with online testing tailored to your needs and choice of when and where the students take them (at school or at home). Automatic marking with reporting reduces time for assessment and analysis - a very attractive option.

This is an exceptionally thorough QCA-supporting resource. All it lacks is pre-packed complete class sets of equipment designed to support each topic, and a virtual SIMS style designer-teacher (only kidding).
