Survey the school to identify recycled products. Write an innovative school recycling policy based on the results.

Use discarded paper to make recycled paper, or to make useful items such as envelopes or drinking cartons.

Research how long different items might survive in a landfill site (eg a banana, three to four weeks; a tin can, 50-80 years; a plastic bottle, 450 years). Make a display of such items that illustrates the information.
