Primary pleasures

Two favourite holiday movies are at the centre of a pair of eye-catching and mind-stretching interactive CD-Roms from Film Education.

Madagascar - where four animal friends escape from a zoo - allows primary children to match storyboard images to the script or recreate the settings by adding their own features. Spielberg's War of the Worlds retells the story as a battle for the future of the human race. Secondary pupils can explore news reporting and the shaping of stories, as well as creating an original poster. These resources are available from Film Education, 21-22 Poland Street, London W1F 8QQ.
