Primary-secondary transfer has been a hot topic for decades. It is always on the agenda, but never quite reaches the top. All sorts of schemes have set out to prepare primary children for big school, but how many really involve the secondary pupils? This project, devised by secondary staff, was meant above all as an enriching experience for their own more able pupils, but it is certain that the Year 6 children involved felt much more at home when they got to their new school in the autumn.
