Principal nets prize

Asha Khemka, principal of West Nottinghamshire College, has been named Midlands Businesswoman of the Year

Ms Khemka, who came to the UK from India aged 25 with no formal qualifications, said: "While it is always pleasing to achieve personal recognition, I believe this award demonstrates the major contribution that colleges and the further- education sector as a whole make to UK Plc."
