Probationer statistics

14th July 2006 at 01:00
Further to your recent articles regarding probationer jobs, it would be interesting to see statistics from the local authorities showing how many of the probationer posts were advertised at the end of the session, as well as the numbers of probationers being placed or not placed.

Those of us who were lucky enough to be placed permanently in our probationary schools had all been through an interview process, with the jobs having been advertised either internally or countrywide.

How many probationers found that a more experienced teacher or another probationer gained the place at their school?
