Project website

7th September 2001 at 01:00
A groundbreaking website offers schools free information on running engineering projects, including lesson plans, risk assessments and links to other subjects.

The brainchild of Flamefast UK Ltd and European Education Consultants, the website has a range of projects for key stage 3 and 4 that are designed to help teachers integrate engineering projects into their schemes of work and raise awareness of a range of hot metal processes.

An accompanying CD-Rom allows schoolsto download projects from the site and upload their own projects on to the website.

The innovative site, www.flamefast.co.uk, will be on display at the Metals Engineering Exhibition 2001 at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham on October 8 to 11.
