What "proofs" can KS1 and 2 pupils use to start their thinking? How about proofs without words?

Add two even numbers. Will you always get another even number?

Add two odd nmbers. Will you always get another odd number?

Can pupils prove that 24=12 using a diagram?

Can pupils prove that the total of all numbers from 1 to 20 is 210?
