Provisonal funding allocations for 2001 announced by Further Education Funding Council

The Further Education Funding Council this week announced provisonal funding allocations for 2001.

On top of base allocations for each college, there will be pound;34.4 million for the new curriculum 2000 for 16 to 18-year-olds; a further pound;25m for full-time 16 to 18-yearolds, and pound;38.4m for growth in adult courses.

There will now be discussions between the council's regional offices and the colleges, until final allocations are made in JulyAugust. Councils which could achieve growth would be rewarded, said the council.
