KS 45 Discuss "When in Rome, do as the Romans do." How far do you think this proverb, in use for at least 500 years, applies in the 21st century? (It possibly originates from Bishop Ambrose c ad 400 "When I go to Rome I fast on Saturday but here (Milan) I do not. Follow the custom of whatever church you attend if you want to avoid scandal.") How important is it to encourage people to be different but also to accept common values?

Identify one feature of Mirpuri life and one of UK life from which other communities might learn. How important is a sense of belonging? Including UK Barelwi experience among your examples, discuss how far personal identity, family identity, religious identity and national identity matter today.
